KENNY HERBERT & RAB HOWAT
Over the last few years Kenny has been writing and recording albums with Rab Howat recording a few times in Abbey Road 2. 'The Last song in Abbey Road', 'Liverpool Days' and '8121980' are all albums of originally penned songs pulling on all their personal thoughts and experiences to come up with melodies and lyrics that reflect their own feelings of everyday life, and that of their great heroes 'The Beatles'. After being invited to play by Spencer Leigh to perform on BBC Radio Merseyside in Liverpool they recorded. 'Songs of our lives' and 'Famous Faces on a Baroom Wall' which are their two latest outstanding albums from 2006/2007. The title of the latter coming from a pilgrimage that they make to Liverpool each year to play a 'live session' on the last Sunday in August at the world famous 'WHITE STAR BAR' in Liverpool. David Paton a great songwriter having had No.1 hits with 'January' and 'Magic' has produced both these albums. David was also with Elton John recording and playing for years. Recorded in Denia, Spain, Abbey Road, London and in their hometown of Edinburgh they have kept all the original music on these albums both as 'atmospheric and exciting' as possible by coming up with strong melodies and heart felt lyrics. Along with David's brilliant playing and production and a couple of his own compositions on which he sings the lead vocal you have two excellent albums of original songs considered timeless and endearing to the listener, a listening must for anyones collection.

Recorded over 2 years at various studios including 'Abbey Road 2' Songs of our lives' and 'Famous Faces on a Baroom Wall' are real listening pleasures. Their originality and quality of the honest writing, excellent performances and production create the finished article, and is a honest reflection of how timeless pop songs should be.
Kenny confesses song writing is almost a habit and continues to write, record and perform his original music with real passion insisting that for him the biggest thing is for people to enjoy the words and tunes he has written and recorded. The bottom line is the writing, singing and recording music it's self is the reward and says 'Both Rab and myself are delighted to have our great pal David Paton producing and playing on all the tracks on both of our latest albums Famous Faces on a Baroom Wall' and 'Songs of our lives'. It has been great fun and a real creative partnership was born when we started recording with Davie, who has taken our songs to another level. We now have a close understanding of what we all set out to achieve and hopefully this will continue on all our future projects'
