The songs and music of KENNY HERBERT
an Edinburgh musician/songwriter who has been working on the music scene for the last 20 years writing and playing in various styles from Pop and Traditional Scottish to Soul and R&B being influenced mainly by the music of Lennon and McCartney. Along with his solo writing Kenny has co-written with various writers including ‘Pilots’ David Paton, and has a current successful partnership with Scottish Guitar Legend Rab Howat. Kenny has also written some tunes with one of the UK’s top soul jazz artistes, the London based underrated Ola Onabule. Over the years he has written and recorded some good albums and has built up a catalogue of real quality songs, some of which are previewed on this site. Kenny insists the reward is being able to write record and perform original timeless melodies that people can relate to and appreciate. Kenny says “recording in Denia, Spain, Abbey Road, London and in his hometown of Edinburgh has been a real joy and that he has kept all his original music as honest as possible by coming up with strong melodies and lyrics written from the heart”. Voodoo Room Sunday Gig - 1st June 2008

We will be playing an early evening gig at the Voodoo Rooms and as there are only a limited amount of tickets (£5.00) for this venue so they will sell out fast. Please get your tickets asap as there will be no tickets on sale at the door on the night.
